Sign-Up For Alerts

 

Alberta Emergency Alerts are issued by the communities where a disaster or emergency is occurring. By signing up to receive this information directly, you will be better informed about potential risks to your health, safety or community.


There are many ways to sign up to receive alerts directly on your phone or computer. You may choose to subscribe or unsubscribe at any time.


Android App   Android App

If you have an Android mobile phone or tablet you can install the Alberta Emergency Alert App to receive alerts. More information about the app including frequently asked questions is available here.


iOS App   iOS App

If you have an Apple mobile phone or tablet you can install the Alberta Emergency Alert App to receive alerts. More information about the app including frequently asked questions is available here.


Twitter   Twitter

If you have a Twitter account you can choose to follow the Alberta Emergency Alert account AB_EmergAlert


Or if you do not have a Twitter account but wish to receive alerts via text messages to your phone, text Follow AB_EmergAlert to 21212 Note: the text message service is not available for TELUS Mobility customers at this time. TELUS Mobility customers should choose one of the other options to receive alerts.
There may be a limit set by Twitter on the text messages you can receive.

If you are a Facebook member, visit the Alberta Emergency Alert page https://www.facebook.com/abemergalert   Log in to your Facebook account and Like the page to see alerts in your news feed.


If you are not a Facebook member, you will need to create an account to receive alerts here.

Subscribe to alerts via RSS/Atom using http://www.emergencyalert.alberta.ca/aeapublic/feed.atom   Alerts will display if you have your RSS reader open on your browser, computer or mobile device or if your email provider supports RSS emails.
